PRP Platelet-Rich Plasma Treatment in Türkiye

A treatment using your own blood to support skin renewal and healthier-looking hair.

What PRP is

Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is a concentrate prepared from a small sample of your own blood. Platelets contain growth factors involved in tissue repair, and PRP is used to support skin rejuvenation and to help manage certain types of hair thinning. Because it uses your own blood, the risk of allergic reaction to the material itself is low.

At Nervora Health in Türkiye, PRP is offered as a supportive treatment with realistic expectations.

How the technique works

A small amount of blood is drawn and placed in a centrifuge, which separates the platelet-rich plasma from other components. The plasma is then injected or applied with microneedling into the skin or scalp areas of concern. The growth factors are thought to stimulate repair, improve skin quality and support hair follicle activity. Response is gradual and cumulative.

  • Face, neck and hands for skin quality
  • Scalp for hair thinning support
  • Under-eye areas in selected cases

Who is a suitable candidate

Adults with early signs of skin ageing, dullness or texture concerns, and people with early to moderate hair thinning, may be considered. PRP is generally not suitable with certain blood disorders, low platelet counts, active infection, some cancers, or use of blood-thinning medication without medical review. Pregnancy and breastfeeding are usually reasons to postpone. A specialist evaluates the cause of hair loss first, since PRP does not suit every type.

Procedure day, recovery and results

The visit commonly takes 45 to 90 minutes including blood collection, preparation and treatment, with numbing cream applied as needed. Redness, mild swelling and tenderness are common for a day or two, and scalp treatment may leave slight soreness. Most people return to routine activities soon, avoiding heat and intense exercise briefly.

A course often involves several sessions a few weeks apart, followed by maintenance. Skin changes and hair improvements develop over weeks to months, and results vary considerably between individuals.

Risks and important considerations

Possible effects include bruising, swelling, headache, tenderness and, rarely, infection. Evidence for hair-loss benefit is promising but varies by condition, and PRP is not a cure for hair loss. It should be performed using sterile single-use kits by a trained medical professional. Results cannot be guaranteed, and suitability requires individual specialist evaluation.

  • Stay well hydrated and eat before the blood draw
  • Tell your specialist about all medicines and supplements

Frequently asked questions

A series of several sessions a few weeks apart is typical, with maintenance decided individually.
Will PRP regrow my hair?
It may support thickness in some types of hair thinning, but results vary and it is not guaranteed.
